BIOTIC CONDITIONS

Rodents abundance evaluation:

Breeding conditions:

I wanted to go to Siberia and I have a friend who is working at Tarko Sale 65 N 78 E. I went to see him. I went bird watching every day to various habitats and saw about 60 species, quite a lot of them moving through to breed further north. Habitat was tundra away from the river with many lakes, some of them half frozen in the middle of June. Near the rivers there were trees up to 50 ft tall. This area, between the Ob & Enesei is like the Fens were 300 years ago, however the climate is harsher and it is a bit bigger. The British Isles would easily fit into this area.

Summary of fauna studies:

It was a late spring, birds were only just starting to breed. If you send me part 2 i can fill it in. I also travelled to 67 N 78 E on a day trip.
